Meet Zack. A Toronto Blue Jays fan and an avid fisherman. He's 10.
On a recent trip up to Opax Mountain with Grandma and Grandpa, Zack caught the Rainbow Trout pictured below and as you can see it's nearly half his size! Weighing in at 5 lbs, the fish (and his hard work reeling it in) tasted delicious.
If you're itching to try your hand at fishing Birch Lake, there's still room at the camp for the last long weekend of the summer, so book now!
Opax Mountain Resort and Birch Lake Fish Camp
It's not quite summer up here yet at Opax, but that doesn't mean a good time can't be had! When the fish is on, the campfire is lit, and you are amongst great company, Birch Lake is a GOOD time. Just read what one of our guests had to say about last weekend:
Hi Karen and Curt,
We had a great time this weekend. Accommodation, breakfast and fishing were all great! And the ride down Eakin creek road on our bikes was a fun added bonus!
Attached a picture of Sophia and I in (or shall I say after) action.
Not the largest one, that honour went toTim, but seeing that this one was caught in a full hail storm certainly the most deserved one of the seventeen fish caught.
Hope to be back in October for a fall fish.
